So i was surfing around about bait and pictures.. I ran across the PB lid screwed to a tree, plus I found a small jar of markdown PB yesterday. I doubt it will last long before its ripped off the tree. I need to move the camera or get another,,was my plan.

1.1.21 cast iron..#1
Ok, least of my worries, not even a worry really.. I overcooked my cornbread...mainly because I've always been a bit intrigued with this favorite skillet my mother gave me probably 30 plus years ago.
I've used it many times, its smaller than it appears in the picture. For some odd reason while the cornbread was cooking this morning, I decided to look up the number meanings on skillets...ITS A #1...per the internet it could sell for 1000.00 dollars?
And if you ever find a spider skillet. An old one. Better grab it...8000.00?
Oh well. I love my cornbread extra crunchy..
PS. RD, ,do u see my favorite cutting board?

Sweet potato crunch
As requested by RD...
Please note I made several modifications to the original recipe. Let me know if they are not legible.
The cream cheese really brought it out. My soon to be DIL made it for her family after having it at my house and they begged for recipe.
Yes its sweet.

Christmas 2020
I didn't go all out on decorations . I may be back in a bit to add more pictures.
For now, just a cedar tree that needed moving. I'll plant it very soon, maybe it will survive.
Shebaroosome sporting her new carhartt coat for Christmas. At 8 years old , she may be settled enough ho wear it as long as I am watching.
Pay no mind to the mismatch flooring. I really need to do something about it. Ha,,heated floors would be nice.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Thanksgiving 2020
I actually did Thanksgiving Sunday 11.22.2020 which is also the soon to be DIL Birthday. They said it was the best ever. I didn't take pictures this year.
Yep its been a long hard strange year and I haven't posted since I retired..it is whst it is!!!
I did get motivated this morning to make shortcut Baklava as I call it,,,mainly because I had premade bought pie crust that needed to be used..
So yummy.. before. Almost, and after.
Ps. I have an old timey 6 tine ice pick that I used to poke holes. I guess its an ice pick. That's what my pop used it for.

BANITA 2019
Loaded her up and off to the vet.
Turns out she may have cancer in her leg. Not sure if that caused the feel bads or a bit of gut issues.
Steroids, wormer, antibiotics and watch her to make sure she doesn't start hurting really bad. He sad if the lump is cancer, surgery probably isn't an option. so not much need in mine and his opinion to run a bunch of high dollar test.
So far she is feeling fine again, eating well and begging to go outdoors. I'm not letting her out, for fear of her taking a turn for the worse and disappearing.
I am not a fan of poking antibiotics down a cat twice a day.

Cat Alarm
Banita,,,, best snake (little ones) catcher around.. I was doing stuff in the yard, and heard her calling, she doesn't often,,,,unless she has something caught her cornered. Small snake this time,,, I took off over there with a shovel. I had to get her to drop it.. wasn't a bad one and he took off for a pile of leaves , so i let him go. I don't think Banita was real thrilled with me. She is nine years old this year and sleeps a lot, but then all cats do, don't they??

2019,,,year of the wet stuff?????
shazammm,, can the rain stop already??? this is my back yard. the pond is overflowing down the backside, most of the standing water is from downpours and coming down the hill and the neighbors yard flowing my way... i expect to become a famous sinkhole any day now,,,, and some days it's been warm enough, the turtles come out to soak up a bit of warm.

silly dilly fall 2018
two pictures of the teeny green snake that Silly Dilly showed me, I took Dilly indoors so the snake could hide, he was moving slow on a cool day.
Dilly surveying the driveway , what is she looking for now. and below, another casualty, some pictures are edited, cuz cats will be cats, most wild critters are not needed close to home.
Silly dilly, has about 4 kitty beds, but prefers the brand new bed i purchased for dogs.
