memory lane

Dunno why the memories have been hitting hard lately, heres a reallllllllly old and not so good picture from WAY BACK WHEN, my long gone best buddy Rebel at Forest Hill Stables, pretending to be ENGLISH???? Had a lot of fun though!!! Maybe not the prettest nor well built horse I ever owned but I raised him from a baby and we went through thick and thin together for 30 years!!!

Hyancith, texas, elephant ears etc

Please excuse the weeds, still a losing battle at times, here we have my Texas Hyacinth,, still not blooming, sure do need to collect the seed pods from this particular plant, lots of sentimental value, also gotta love those elephant ears, I just LOVE them,,,, there are also a few (cant remember the name) tiny pretty type flowers down amongst the ever invasive weeds, MUST do better, I really must .

Identification HELP????

hay People,,, oh yes, i'm still identfying myself too, but not at this post! LOL,,, A freind sent these fruits (?) to me, I'm not up on my fruits, so maybe someone can help? The green one is a beginner baby, the right is ripe? It apparently grows on a vine, and the ripe one is only 2 to 2 1/2 inches , looks like mini melons. I have not cut it open, just hate to do that , but i must to save some seeds I suppose. I have been told it is full of seeds, My friend says they sprouted up from a load of manure they had delivered for there garden spot. HELPPPP, its a very interesting bit of fruit!!
