End of the trail 2014 Owens' Creek On the Natchez Trace.

Ok, so I haven't posted in quite a while, but I had to share these photos.

 I've not been to this (one of my very fav spots) in a long long LONGGGGGGGGGG time.

 I had heard probably on Facebook that this National marked  in Mississippi on the Natchez Trace had collapsed...
 I HAD TO SEE for myself, and yes, sad to say,,,,,
Owens's Creek On the Natchez Trace just down the road from Rocky Springs.
This is a small waterfall I have visited many times in the past and  has collapsed.

 SO SAD, I'll have to find pictures from  way back , scan and ad to the post,

The following pictures were taken Yesterday 11/30/2014. Its hard to see in the pictures, there was a teeny bit of water falling, I have walked under the fall WAY MANY MOONS AGO.

My Very Own Sassafrass tree via the Japanese Redneck .

Thanx Ramona, I had my doubts , but the Sassafrass tree is putting on leaves. along with some of the Rose of Sharon trees /althea , uhhh, Im not too good with names. I've so been looking for a Sassafrass tree though. Not sure I am spelling it correct, but I love that little tree.


SAD TO SAY, but apparently my favorite tree did not make it through spring 2016, im so sad, dunno what happened, it bloomed and leafed too early maybe, and then a hard frost took it out???????? I was so admiring it, I keep looking to see if  a bit of life is left, but I don't think so. APRIL 2016 ,,, gone :(

SPOILED OR NOT?????????

February and an Ice day, Didn't have to be at work until 10. WE COULD GET USED TO THIS.

I call it Airborn,,, MIla calls it DIVE for cover at times.

SHEBAROOSOME is just that, Airborne at times. Poor Mila forgets to keep an eye on her at times and gets tackled. SURE am glad its not me. I'll be glad when Sheba settles down a bit more and I know Mila will. there are times when Mila will not venture too far out in the yard for fear of the "STALK".

Really Sheba is smart and listens most of the time. BUT its a work in progress. DON"T ever have a stomping fit indoors trying to get a dogs attention while wearing Crocs. it was not a pretty site, talk about some bruising and scrapes when I fell into the Hall tree. Its a wonder IT survived. AND SHEBA, she thought it was funny. 

 

SNOWMAN 2014

THE STORE BOUGHT kind, that is. Kroger purchase, after it was marked down to 7.99, starting price of 29.99. OH and a bit of the snow that shut down parts of Mississippi. Really wasn't that great a picture but what the heck. I  put a candle inside and it burned all night one night, I suppose its a bit like a chiminea but with a HAT????????  HOPE the Satsuma tree survives our cold year 2014. Appears we have another round of ice on the way this week, Maybe I'll get lucky and it will go around again. Really odd and Yesterday was sooooooooooooo beautiful. I went hyper in the yard.

newest Adoptee, Baradilla alias Aradilla

 

Ok, so i don't know what posessed me to rearrange one room my last day of Holiday/vacation but the newest additon to the family Baradilla was in the middle of it. she fell in love with the faux lion pillow in this room after I quit shoving things around and vacumming. Plus she felt safe from the BIG BAD OUTDOOR KITTY BANITA..

 

PS. she was being called Aradilla (which i was told means something a bout a bushy tail) but since all my cats start with B. I did a little bit of switch a roo on the name. I hope i have a house still standing, first time leaving her for A LONG TIME today without someone to follow around.

Baradilla has been a really hand dust bunny collector too under furniture. WHO KNEW???
