You really have to take a deep look, but apparently the GoldFinches have taken a liking to the birdhouse gourds I grew and painted a couple years ago. MOM and Dad are kinda shy, but I do see them feeding babies and avoiding me since they like the overhang beside the storage building. I managed a sneak picture while they were hunting bugs, I believe the babies have LEFT THE NEST the last couple days.
Its hard to get a good picture of the Parents.
BUT she/he is there hanging on the front of the gourd.

OHHHH GOOD MORNING TRAIL RIDER AND THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY TO VISIT US.
BACKYARD BIRDS ARE A LOVE OF MINE TOO
My friends in the NC Mountains have had Martin houses out for years and they always have them full in the spring. This year nothing. Maybe some finches nested in their gourds
I believe we have a mutual friend in Mississippi
Hugs
Madi and mom
I have fly catchers on the porch. She would fly off the nest every time we came onto the porch.
She stopped flying off after a few days of my 9 days off because I think she finally realized, I was not bothering her.
We have some other kind of bird under the porch, but her nest is hidden.
