Here we Have MOTT, a wild caught injured Box Turtle. He is doing well now but due to large portion of his shell missing on his rear, we will not be releasing him back into the wild. I am building him a safe enclosure that should be ready this spring.
For now he is in turtle rescue home recovering after a few visits to the vet and much TLC. He will have to be kept indoors this winter as he did not get to do preliminary hibernation. He is doing great and eating well. He may not be in the wild again, but his enclosure will have a top his private castle pool etc. I still have a bit more to do to it, but should have it complete by spring.

Mott, what a great name! I love how compassionate you are.
I bet he'll love his new digs!
How lucky you are Mott to have someone to take good care of you.
One ? though, do you need to put down some wire or something close to the edge of the enclosure to keep him from digging under?
